The Stand takes place in a post-apocalyptic world triggered by the breakdown of society following the release of a biological weapon. The weapon is a virulent strain of influenza that decimates the population.

This book was very interesting. I loved how the bus changed shape and went on an adventure in the ocean. I learned a lot.

I am 8 years old and I have been reading this series over and over for 4 years! However they are not a challenge or a deep read they are just clever and happy. I chose to write a review on this one because it is my favorite but that applies to all the books. I was lucky enough to have the author visit my school 2 years ago and he said some people don't like his books because they are not deep enough. As much as reading a deep and challenging story is important what is wrong with something light and funny once and a while. I think that reading is reading and these books will put a smile on your face and there is nothing wrong with that, not only that, they very clever and they have a true story line aside to being silly! I highly recommend for kids 7-12 (or any age above 12 if you eat to read a good laugh out loud story) :) :) :)

This book is so well-written and intelligent. I have to read it slowly and carefully to fully understand the importance of what is being said by the author as it is counter all of the 'patterned behavior' type of thinking we are taught. I like how he weaves personal stories in with dense financial topics to make a really memorable lesson. I am planning to read the rest of his books as well.Great author.

The book is really funny and some humor, when big eddy forced them to go in the haunted house and the friends scared big eddy with some old rope they found and big eddy was running away when he heard the sounds. I would recommend this book.

They love jumping in muddy puddles! They went to granny and Grampa's house. They looked at Grampa's vegetable garden and then jumped in muddy puddles. Peppa helped find George's missing dine-saw.
